RMB Namibia has committed N$75,000 to support the “NaTIS on Wheels” initiative, a joint effort with the Ministry of Works and Transport to extend vital vehicle licensing and traffic administration services to remote and underserved communities across Namibia.
The initiative brings mobile NaTIS facilities directly to rural and isolated areas, bridging the geographic gap that often prevents citizens from easily accessing government services.
Highlighting the bank’s commitment to community-driven progress, Daniel Motinga, Chief Executive at RMB Namibia, emphasized that sustainable development hinges on pragmatic, accessibility-focused solutions.
“The NaTIS on Wheels Initiative is a meaningful example of this,” Motinga said. “By bringing essential services closer to underserved communities, it helps create a more inclusive and responsive service environment for Namibians, regardless of where they live.”
He added that the sponsorship also reflects the important role that collaboration between government and the private sector can play in advancing national development. “Meaningful national development requires partnerships built around shared goals and a commitment to creating positive outcomes for society. When government and business work together, we can help accelerate progress and support initiatives that have a lasting impact on communities.”
RMB commended the Ministry for its leadership in advancing the NaTIS on Wheels Initiative and its commitment to improving access to government services.
“The NaTIS on Wheels Initiative is designed to take key NaTIS services directly to communities that may face challenges accessing traditional service centres due to distance and limited infrastructure. By bringing services closer to citizens, the initiative has the potential to reduce the need for long-distance travel while improving convenience and accessibility.”
