The Namibia Scientific Society is inviting the public for a talk by Dr Christa North on exploring food allergies, intolerances and sensitivities, and how understanding individual dietary triggers can improve health and wellbeing, on 2 July at 19:00.
The Society said Dr North is a healthcare professional with more than 20 years’ experience spanning nutrition, precision healthcare, metabolic health, research, pharmaceutical sciences and healthcare innovation. “She holds a PhD in nutrition and has worked extensively in multidisciplinary environments integrating clinical healthcare, biotechnology, and health technology systems.”
They explained that her work focuses on translating complex scientific and health data into practical clinical applications, with particular interests in personalised healthcare, obesity and metabolic health, lifestyle-related disease prevention and practitioner implementation of emerging healthcare technologies. “She has played key roles in research, product development, practitioner education, operations management, and healthcare software implementation in the health and wellness industries.”
The Society said Dr North is regularly invited to contribute to radio and television programmes on health. She is also a recognised authority in practitioner education and public health on topics related to nutrition, personalised healthcare and preventative health strategies. “In addition to consulting for healthcare and corporate organisations, she has authored educational articles that improve patient understanding and support the practical application of evidence-based healthcare.”
