The Bank of Namibia has granted Access Bank Namibia Limited full authorisation to conduct banking business in the country, effective from Friday

The approval was granted in terms of section 13(2) of the Banking Institutions Act, 2023 (Act No. 13 of 2023), following a comprehensive assessment carried out by the regulatory authority.

With the approval now in place, Access Bank Namibia Limited is officially authorized to commence commercial banking operations. Members of the public can now access the institution’s full range of financial services, including opening accounts, depositing funds, and utilizing everyday banking products.

The announcement was confirmed in an official statement issued by Kazembire Zemburuka, Director of Strategic Communications and International Relations at the Bank of Namibia.

Ilon Wiklandi sünnipäeval, 5. veebruaril 2027 kuulutatakse välja konkursi võitjad. Konkurss on mõeldud nii kunsti- kui ka tavakoolide noortele, innustamaks neid loomerännakule. Töid saab esitada 12. jaanuarini 2027. Sel aastal on tekst valitud viljakalt autorilt Aapo Ilveselt. „Oleme alati tahtnud valida teksti, mida oleks fantaasiaküllane illustreerida ja mis sobiks nii noormeestele kui ka neidudele,” selgitas Iloni Imedemaa juhataja Maarja Kõuts, miks valiti seekord moodne muinasjutt. Artikkel jätkub peale reklaami Iloni Imedemaa välja pandud iga-aastane preemiafond on 1000 eurot, mille jagamise otsustab žürii. Žüriisse kuuluvad Viive Noor, Krista Kumberg, Karin Mägi, Triin Soone, Katrin Ehrlich ja Urmas Viik. Societatea Apa Serv Valea Jiului SA, operatorul care furnizează servicii de alimentare cu apă și canalizare în Valea Jiului, a fost amendată cu 40.000 de lei după ce inspectorii de la Apele Române au identificat o situație neconformă la Microhidrocentrala Polatiște, de pe raza municipiului Petroșani. Apele Române Controlul a avut loc în 30 septembrie 2026 și a vizat modul în care sunt evacuate apele rezultate din funcționarea microhidrocentralei operate de Apa Serv Valea Jiului. În urma verificărilor efectuate pe teren, inspectorii Administrației Bazinale de Apă Jiu au constatat că apele erau evacuate printr-un canal de fugă amplasat în apropierea microhidrocentralei, iar ulterior ajungeau în pârâul Sălătruc. Problema identificată de autorități nu a fost existența canalului în sine, ci faptul că acesta nu era prevăzut în actul de reglementare deținut de societate.
