A recent visit to the barracks found leaking roofs, damaged ceilings, cracked walls, broken doors and windows, and inadequate sanitary facilities, all signs of deep neglect. The Botswana Defence Force (BDF) has confirmed the deaths of two service members who died under unexplained circumstances this week. A Sergeant and a Staff Sergeant passed away on Monday and Tuesday respectively at the 2 Brigade Group in Donga, Francistown, sparking concern and wild rumours of possible poisoning.
