Nominations were called on Thursday 18 June for this year’s Sustainable Development Awards when the Environmental Investment Fund in collaboration with the Sustainable Development Advisory Council officially launched the awards at the Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism.
Branded under the theme “Empowering Namibian Youth for a Sustainable Future,” the awards recognise the important role that young people play in shaping Namibia’s future through innovation, environmental stewardship, entrepreneurship, research and community action.

The Minister of Environment, Forestry and Tourism, Hon Indileni Daniel invited Namibians across the board to nominate deserving individuals, projects and enterprises that protect the environment, and help social development while doing so in a framework of responsible growth.
