Pupkewitz Toyota, Wilderness, and Children in the Wilderness have partnered and donated essential field equipment valued at N$40,000 to rhino rangers from the Torra, Sesfontein, and Anabeb Conservancies.
The donation aims to strengthen the capacity of the trackers and rangers to carry out critical conservation work safely, effectively, and sustainably within the challenging landscapes they protect.
The funds for the equipment were raised during a unique 12-hour night race hosted by Pupkewitz Toyota around their dealership in November 2025.
The initiative successfully raised funds to support the dedicated rhino rangers and trackers who work tirelessly, often under challenging conditions, to protect these iconic animals from the threat of poaching.
According to Pupkewitz Motors Group, in a statement, this initiative demonstrates the impact that can be achieved when the private sector, conservation organisations, and local communities unite behind a shared purpose.
“By working together, they are helping to safeguard Namibia’s unique natural heritage and ensuring that future generations can continue to experience the country’s remarkable wildlife,” Shawapala Kandjabanga, Brand Manager for the Pupkewitz Motors Group, said.
