Life coach and management guru, Dr Gustav Gous is in Windhoek next week to launch Namibia’s first Leadership Boardroom for company managers and top executives.
No stranger to the Namibian market, Dr Gous said the inaugural Namibian Leadership Boardroom will be conducted in the Officeconomix showroom in Windhoek, together with guest presenter, Dr Mark Manley.
The Leadership Boardroom is an in-person facility for business leaders to help them tap into the expertise of proven management consultants, amplified by the critical wisdom of the peer group that is participating in the session.
Dr Mark Manley is a top strategy consultant who has guided the top echelons of the South African Government Treasury, the Reserve Bank and the Government Institutions Pension Fund in Namibia.
Dr Gous, a born Namibian, is a highly respected executive coach, corporate consultant and international speaker with regular clients on five continents.
The first two boardroom sessions are scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday 15 and 16 September from 08:30 to 13:00 on both days. Extending an open invitations to Namibian business leaders, Dr Gous said it is important that individuals in management positions must see and experience the benefit of attending a boardroom session.
In a typical Leadership Boardroom session, participants are exposed to the insights of an expert presenter. In next week’s session, Dr Manley will cover the often thorny issue of how to get a strategy approved by the Board and implemented by management.
Dr Gous will present the topic on ‘How to synergise your life strategy with your business strategy.’
During these sessions, attending managers will be afforded the opportunity to profile their companies for the benefit of the other participants. This dynamic rests on peer group participation, specifically on strategies to tap into the wisdom and solutions from the combined input of all the participants.
Dr Gous also invited prospective participants to book a special one on one session with the Boardroom Chair.
The Leadership Boardroom is a model designed by Dr Gous to expose company managers to real-life boardroom situations so that they can guide their boards with confidence. The model has been tried and tested in major South African commercial hubs in Stellenbosch, Pretoria, Sandton, Durban and Pietermaritzburg.
