A major international conference is taking place this week at the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST) where delegates are exchanging views on the most pressing issues faced by countries in the southern African region. Hosted by NUST, the fourth Southern Africa Regional Science Association (SARSA) Conference started in Windhoek on Wednesday 22 July 2026. During the 3-day conference, delegates from across southern Africa and beyond are engaged in high-level discussions on some of the region’s most pressing challenges and opportunities, like urbanisation, climate change, inequality, migration, governance, land administration, technology, artificial intelligence and sustainable growth. በ2018 በጀት ዓመት 9.9 ቢሊዮን ብር በሚገመቱ 958 የታክስ መዛግብት ላይ ውሳኔ ማሳለፉን፣ የፌዴራል ታክስ ይግባኝ ኮሚሽን ገለጸ፡፡ የኮሚሽኑ አመራሮች፣ ሠራተኞች፣ የገቢዎች ሚኒስቴርና የጉምሩክ ኮሚሽን የሥራ ክፍል አመራሮች በተገኙበት የ2018 በጀት ዓመት የይግባኝ አቤቱታዎች፣ የውሳኔ አሰጣጥ ፍጥነትና ጥራት ዝርዝር የአፈጻጸም ሪፖርት የማጠቃለያ ግምገማ መድረክ ማክሰኞ ሐምሌ 14 ቀን 2018 ዓ.ም. ሲካሄድ ነው የተነገረው። ካለፈው በጀት ዓመት ወደ ዘንድሮ የተዛወሩ 469 መዛግብትን ጨምሮ በአጠቃላይ 1,224 መዛግብት ቀርበውለት፣ በ960ዎቹ ላይ ውሳኔ ለመስጠት አቅዶ በ958 መዛግብት ላይ ውሳኔ ማሳለፉን፣ ይህም በጥንካሬ የሚወሰድ እንደሆነ ኮሚሽኑ አስታውቋል። ውሳኔ ከተሰጠባቸው መካከል በ757 መዛግብት ለከፍተኛ ፍርድ ቤት ይግባኝ ተጠይቆ 37 ያህል (4.88 በመቶ) የሚሆኑት ለድጋሚ ምርመራ መመለሳቸውን ገልጿል። ለድጋሚ ምርመራ ከተመለሱት 37 መዛግብት ውስጥ በ14 መዛግብት ላይ ውሳኔ የሚያስለውጥ አዲስ መረጃ ባለመገኘቱ ሲፀኑ፣ አራቱ የቀረቡበት አግባብ ታይቶ መሻሻላቸውን፣ አሥራ አንድ ያህሉ መሻራቸውን፣ ቀሪ ስምንት መዛግብት ደግሞ በአሁኑ ወቅት እየታዩ እንደሚገኙ ተነግሯል። በዚህም መሠረት የኮሚሽኑ ውሳኔ የጥራት ምጣኔ 98.01 በመቶ መድረሱ ተገልጿል። በተጨማሪም 266 መዛግብት በተሰጣቸው የቀጠሮ ይዘት...
