MBABANE – The Lesotho National Olympic Committee (LNOC) has announced that Team Lesotho collected 13 medals at the inaugural Eswatini National Youth Games.
The Games took place over the past weekend, running from Saturday August 15 to Sunday August 16, following an opening ceremony held on Friday August 14, 2026.
Upon returning home, the LNOC presented the official results of Team Lesotho. The presentation, which covered the team’s composition and the athletes’ performances, was delivered by Chef de Mission Mahlomola Letsie.
Team Lesotho comprised 10 athletes who competed against counterparts from Eswatini and Seychelles across eight sporting codes. However, the Mountain Kingdom took part in four disciplines which were;
• Athletics
• Boxing
• Taekwondo and
• Tennis
Lesotho was able to return home with a total of 13 medals which are seven gold, four silver and two bronze.
“The LNOC congratulates all the athletes, coaches and officials for their dedication, commitment and outstanding performance at the Eswatini National Youth Games. Team Lesotho’s achievements are a testament to the growing talent and potential of young athletes in the country,” the committee said in a statement published on its official Facebook page.
