According to a statement from the St. Kitts and Nevis Sailing Association, three sailors from the Nevis Aquatic and Sailing Center delivered commendable performances at the 2026 Bahamas ILCA Nationals, held April 12, 2026, following an intensive programme of development training and competition.
The event formed part of a structured regional sailing initiative, combining a development clinic from April 2–10 with a two-day regatta held April 11–12, offering athletes extended high-performance exposure on the international sailing circuit.
A standout performance came from Abhijith Srinivasan, who secured second place in the ILCA 4 class, marking a significant result for the Federation’s sailing initiative.
In the ILCA 6 category, Amadi Byron-Hendrickson and Melroy Henry both demonstrated consistency and determination throughout the competition.
Acknowledgement was extended to the athletes representing the Nevis Aquatic and Sailing Center, with appreciation also expressed to coaches, families, organisers, and supporters who contributed to the team’s preparation and participation.
