His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam, on Thursday, received in audience Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Sabah Tun Dato Seri Paduka Datuk Seri Panglima (Dr) Musa bin Haji Aman and spouse, Toh Puan Datin Seri Panglima Datuk Hajah Faridah binti Haji Tussin, as part of a courtesy call.
The audience ceremony took place at Istana Nurul Iman.
During the audience ceremony, His Majesty and Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Sabah discussed ways to deepen bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual benefit between Brunei Darussalam and Sabah.
Present were His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office; Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah binti Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab Rahaman; and Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Rashidah Sa’adatul Bolkiah.
Also present were Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II as Minister-in-Attendance Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof and Minister of Foreign Affairs II Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd Yusof.
Following the Audience Ceremony, Their Majesties hosted a luncheon for the special guests.
This marks the first official visit of Tun Dato Seri Paduka Datuk Seri Panglima (Dr) Musa to Brunei Darussalam since being sworn in as the 11th Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Sabah on 1st January 2025, which reflects the close and long-standing relations between Brunei Darussalam and Sabah.
