Kasuka FC continued to show excellence by maintaining an unbeaten record of eight matches while retaining their position at the top of the Brunei Elite Futsal League (BEFL) 2024/2025 amidst the fierce competition.
Kasuka FC Head Coach Wahyu Triayanto said, “I am happy to see that the players have maintained a consistent game, even when facing teams that also have a high potential in this BEFL group.”
He also stated that the BEFL challenge is getting more exciting as the matches entered the second round before expressing hopes that his men will continue to maintain the winning momentum.
The squad managed by the former Indonesian national futsal player enjoyed great success after wiping out the clean record of Almerez Hitune FC with a 5-0 victory and denying the high hopes of Kampung Buangkok with a 5-2 win.
Meanwhile, Almerez Hitune FC bounced back from their disappointment of losing by winning 12-5 against Kota Ranger BK FC, while Kampung Buangkok FC fought hard to beat Arbisyam FC 5-3.
The resurgence of both Almerez Hitune and Kampung Buangkok FC saw both teams manage to collect 18 points, trailing league leaders Kasuka Ar Rawda who enjoy a six-point cushion with 24 points.
Shah United and MS ABDB, who collected nine points each, are able to strengthen the team’s position in the top group.
In the meantime, DDT FT, Kota Ranger BK FC and Arbisyam FC who are still without a win, started showing a revival by giving fierce competition in the BEFL.
The intensity of the BEFL witnessed the agility of a star player from Indonesia, Bambang Bayu Saptaji, who represents Kampung Buangkok from Singapore, dominating the goalscoring charts with 20 goals while Kasuka Ar Rawda player Mohammad Reza Rahmania, a foreign import from Iran, registered 15 goals. – Fadhil Yunus
