The driver and lone occupant of a stolen vehicle was arrested after being injured in a collision with a stationary Ontario Provincial Police in South Glengarry Township on Tuesday morning.
An OPP media release said officers from the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry detachment were alerted to a stolen vehicle travelling eastbound on Highway 401 from the Toronto area at about 10 a.m. on March 4.

A short time later, officers attempted to stop the vehicle on Highway 401 near Fraser Road in South Glengarry. According to police, the suspect avoided a spike belt deployed by officers, but subsequently struck a stationary police vehicle before entering the ditch.
The driver of the stolen vehicle remained in police custody Tuesday afternoon after being released from hospital, the release added, while two officers were also transported to hospital for assessment.
Eastbound lanes of Highway 401 were closed in the area while police investigated the collision, with detours in effect.
South Glengarry Township is about 100 kilometres east and south of Ottawa.
