Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that 10 people were killed and 32 others were injured in a fire that broke out in a hotel in the Kartalkaya ski resort, in the Bolu province in northwestern Turkiye. The minister explained in a post on the X platform that the fire broke out at dawn today in one of the hotels in the Kartalkaya resort, noting that rescue and firefighting teams intervened quickly to control the fire. He stressed that investigations are underway to determine the causes of the fire and provide the necessary support to the injured. The fire spread very quickly, destroying large parts of the hotel located on the top of the Koroglu Mountains. DAMASCUS: The mother of American journalist Austin Tice, who was taken captive during a reporting trip to Syria in August 2012, arrived in Damascus on Saturday to step up the search for her son and said she hopes she can take him home with her.
