Stray Kids is set to close out the year with a bang with the release of their upcoming album, “Skzhop Hiptape,” on December 13.
The group announced the new album on Friday through social media, debuting its first teaser featuring dynamic graphic artwork. The title “Skzhop Hiptape” merges the group’s initials with “hip-hop,” hinting at a collection centered on the hip-hop style that has become synonymous with Stray Kids’ music.
The teaser video shows two glowing red and blue spheres creating powerful ripples on a still water surface. As the waves intensify, the clip ends with a striking design that merges the words “Skz” and “Hop.”
Stray Kids have solidified their reputation since their 2022 mini album “Oddinary,” with their latest album “Ate” marking their fifth consecutive entry to top the Billboard 200 chart. “Ate” also saw significant commercial success in the United States, surpassing 500,000 sales and earning its seventh gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America.
Additionally, Stray Kids released their second Japanese album, “Giant,” on Wednesday. The album debuted at the top of the Oricon Daily Album Chart for two consecutive days, showcasing their growing influence in the region.
