The awards ceremony, organized by the Hungarian Section of the International Real Estate Federation (Fiabci), took place on November 21 at the Museum of Ethnography.
This competition, now in its 26th year, was judged by a panel of Hungarian and international experts. It aims to recognize outstanding achievements in real estate development, showcase Hungarian projects to professional and public audiences, and promote participation in Fiabci’s global World Prix d’Excellence competition.
The dual-branded hotel stands out as Hungary’s first project to feature both brands under one roof. It is also the first Tribe hotel not only in Hungary but in the entire region. The hotel’s interior design has already won accolades at the renowned LIV Hospitality Design Awards.
The hotel occupies the top floor of the Liberty building’s Könyves Kálmán körút wing and includes 332 rooms split evenly between the ibis and Tribe brands. The property features an all-day à la carte restaurant, a fitness gym, accessible rooms, and an underground car park. Its conference center can host up to 180 guests in five multifunctional event rooms. The ninth-floor Cloud IX Skybar offers seating for up to 120 people, a distinctive interior design, a curated food and beverage selection, and Tribe-signature cocktails, making it a unique destination in Budapest.
“It is a great honor for us that the Hungarian Hotel and Restaurant Association has awarded the special prize to the project implemented in the development of WING, one of the most advanced and ESG-compliant complexes in the country. As one of the leading real estate companies in Hungary and the region, we are committed to projects that create long-term value and represent high architectural quality,” said Ernő Takács, deputy CEO of Wing and president of the Real Estate Developers Round Table Association.
The Liberty complex, where the hotel is located, is a cutting-edge, multi-functional development offering 3- and 4-star accommodations, commercial units, and class A+ office spaces. Designed with sustainability in mind, the building features energy-efficient systems and has earned Breeam Excellent and Access4you Gold certifications.
