In the first half of 2024, Orlen Hungary added 60 new service stations, acquired from MOL, boosting its total network to 139 locations across the country. Key cities such as Győr, Székesfehérvár, Kaposvár, Szombathely, and Budapest saw significant additions, with the capital now hosting 19 stations. Other major cities added to the network include Kecskemét, Szeged, Nyíregyháza, Debrecen, Miskolc, Zalaegerszeg, Békéscsaba, Pécs, and Veszprém.
This expansion resulted in a sharp increase in Orlen Hungary’s retail market share, rising to 6.8% in November 2024, up from 3.9% in December 2023. According to the Hungarian Petroleum Association (MÁSZ), the company’s fuel market share climbed to 13.1%, up from 7.4% last year.
Introduction of New Products and Services
Orlen Hungary successfully introduced its Stop.Cafe private-label products in 2024, including smoothies, soft drinks, snacks, VERVA energy drinks, and premium 100% Arabica coffee. Stop.Cafe hot dogs were made available at 86 service stations, while fresh sandwiches were launched at five additional locations, bringing the total to 11.
The company also expanded its Despar store offerings, opening nine new outlets in 2024 and making Orlen and Despar products available at 70 locations nationwide.
