
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif discussed strengthening bilateral relations in Baku on Monday.
The two sides also discussed expanding trade and investment, enhancing cooperation in the energy sector, joining efforts to address climate change, deepening defense cooperation, and enhancing cultural exchanges.
In this context, Pakistan and Azerbaijan signed Monday multiple agreements to enhance bilateral cooperation in various fields including trade, energy, tourism, education, and others.
The two countries also signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), Pakistan’s Frontier Works Organization (FWO), and Pakistan State Oil Company Limited (PSO) for cooperation in Machike-Thallian-Tarujabba White Oil Pipeline Project.
