Ohorongo Cement recently partnered with Unmatched Potential / Business Box and Royalty Empire to support two young entrepreneurs in Otavi by providing them with a business coaching and mentoring programme to unlock their entrepreneurship potential, while enabling them to create value for themselves and their communities.
The donation stems from ongoing discussions between Ohorongo Cement and the Otavi Town Council and is part of a joint drive to empower the youth to become economically independent.
The beneficiaries underwent a thorough screening process for selection into the mentorship programme. Speaking during the handover, Mr. Ismael Mwaimbange shared his plans to expand his tuck-shop into a larger business, while Mr Frans Kativa expressed his goal of getting involved in the electrical industry by offering services and solutions to customers.
The donation was handed over by Mr Nardus Laubscher, Plant Manager of Ohorongo Cement alongside Ms Cathy Kambanda of Royalty Empire at the Otavi Town Council offices on Wednesday, 20 November 2024.
