Standard Lesotho Bank (SLB) has officially launched the 2025 edition of the reimagined Standard Lesotho Bank LETOFE Lifestyle, marking 21 years of the festival’s evolution under the empowering theme, “Empowered at 21.”
Turning 21 signifies more than a milestone; it represents growth, maturity, and new beginnings. In the same spirit, the Standard Lesotho Bank LETOFE Lifestyle at 21 ushers in a new era where music transforms into a broader celebration of lifestyle, creativity, and culture.
The Bank’s partnership with LETOFE has been renewed under a newly signed three-year contract extending until 2027. This year’s edition positions the festival as both a celebration of heritage and a forward-looking expression of Lesotho’s dynamic identity, spotlighting not only music but also food, fashion, art, and culture, expanding its footprint as a holistic lifestyle experience.
Adding to its growing influence, the Standard Lesotho Bank LETOFE Lifestyle forms part of the Standard Bank ‘Africa Music Series’ which comprises music festivals held in many countries where the Bank operates, such as the Joy of Jazz in South Africa, the Luju Festival in Eswatini and other countries including Botswana, Zimbabwe, and Mozambique, under the continental theme “Return to the African Future.”
The regional connection extends Lesotho’s cultural reach beyond its borders, offering opportunities for local talent to perform, collaborate, and thrive on bigger stages across Africa. Through this initiative, SLB continues to empower Basotho artists with access to wider audiences and stronger creative networks, reinforcing the Bank’s commitment to being a true patron of African arts and culture.
Speaking at the launch, Mr Manyathela Kheleli, Standard Lesotho Bank’s Marketing Manager for Communications and Sponsorships, said:
“Standard Lesotho Bank is an African bank, as Africans, our rhythm and creativity set us apart, and through the Standard Lesotho Bank LETOFE Lifestyle , we celebrate that identity.
We aim to be recognised as patrons of the arts, whether performing or fine arts, and to nurture platforms that uplift our nation’s talent. This platform in particular represents who we are, and this is where we live, love, and connect through our music, our food, and our fashion.”
He further emphasised that the festival’s impact extends beyond entertainment.
“This initiative is about stimulating economic growth and improving the livelihoods of our artists. Over the years, we have witnessed this festival evolve into one of the biggest festivals in Lesotho’s entertainment calendar. We are proud of the dedicated support from our stakeholders and Basotho who have embraced the Standard Lesotho Bank LETOFE Lifestyle as their own.
“As part of this year’s celebration, customers purchasing tickets using Standard Lesotho Bank cards will enjoy a 6% discount. This is our way of saying thank you to Lesotho for growing the brand.”
The 2025 Standard Bank LETOFE Lifestyle promises to be a fulfilling celebration, one that not only honours two decades of creative excellence but also charts the course for the next chapter of empowerment, innovation, and cultural pride.
