Fiji 7s playmaker Terio Tamani says Coach Osea Kolinisau’s focus is on improving the team’s performance from the last tournament, particularly in defence and ball possession.
“Right now we are trying to improve from our last leg, we’re working on defense. Coach is focusing on our ball possession; every time we have the ball, we lose it. So we are working on that a lot,” said the Kadavu native.
He said the team is aware of past failures but is moving ahead and focusing on the Madrid tournament.
“We want to build from this upcoming tournament, then focus on the little things and improve for the Olympics,” he added.
With these improvements in mind, the team is preparing intensely to make a strong showing in Madrid, aiming to fine-tune their skills as Olympic Games is just around the corner.
